Emerald Cave Or Morakot Cave ( or locally called "Tam Nam")

One of amazing places that i wanna see on my next trip to thailand ...

Emerald Cave Or Morakot Cave ( or locally called "Tam Nam") at Koh Muk ( or Koh Mook ) .

has an entrance which is narrow but wide enough for small boats to pass through during the low tide. It is recommended to enter the cave by swimming or canoeing rather than by a long tail boat. The exciting moment happens when one passes through the winding cave into darkness, a distance of 80 meters. As soon as the mouth of the cave is reached, people will be fasinated by the emerald-coloured water and delicate, white sand beach, located between steep cliffs. The bright blue sky is like a roof. Everyone should ensure they are out of the cave before the tide comes in or they won't be able to get out until next day Hired boats from Pakmeng, Changlang, and Chaomai will all carry passengers to the same destination..
How to get there... The boat service leaves Kuan Tung Ku Pier at 08.00 hr everyday charging 40 baht per person. One trip by the rented boat will charge 400 baht and takes 30 minutes to Koh Muk. Upon arrival at Sapanyao Pier in front of the island, you have to rent a long tail boat to Morakot Cave rested at the other side of the island (100 baht each). Another way is to rent the boat from Pak Meng Pier straight to Morakot Cave at Koh Muk. The rate is 1800 baht/day talking about 40 minutes.

Best boat company is "Lanta long tail"
